Access and Wellness Resources

The WSU Spokane Access & Wellness Center offers holistic support including programming and resources for mental and physical health, access for students with disabilities, as well as basic needs support. Located on the first floor of the Krik H. Schulz Academic Center in Suite 145, the center is a space where you can connect to campus and community resources.

Overdose Prevention Resources

WSU is fully committed to preventing the misuse of opioids in our community and helping eliminate the evolving epidemic of drug-related harms. Cougar Health Services offers opioid and fentanyl overdose prevention education and resources, which are available to all WSU students, regardless of campus location.

Free Narcan and Fentanyl testing strips are available for any students.

In Washington state, if you get medical help for an overdose or alcohol poisoning, Good Samaritan laws are in place so you and the victim cannot be charged for drug use, possession, or underage drinking. Additionally, the WSU Good Samaritan Guideline ensures that students receive prompt and appropriate attention during alcohol and/or drug intoxication.
