While insurance is not required to receive care, having coverage can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs.

Student Health Fee and Insurance

All students enrolled for seven or more credit hours in the fall and spring semesters and one or more in the summer are required to pay a student health fee, which provides access to Student Counseling Services. This fee is not a substitute for health insurance. WSU encourages students to obtain health insurance to help cover the cost of medical care. Students are responsible for the cost of non-covered services.
